Ingredients
4 8-10 NY Strip Steaks
2 Tbsp fresh thyme minced
2 Tbsp fresh rosemary minced
4 cloves fresh garlic
2 Tbsp garlic powder
Sea Salt/Black Pepper
4 Tbsp canola oil
4 Tbsp Butter
1. Preheat Oven to 400 degrees F
2. To a large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat add oil.
3. While skillet is heating season each steak with salt, pepper, rosemary, thyme, and garlic powder on both sides
4. When pan is hot and slightly smoking carefully place steaks in pan carefully and sear on each side until brown about 3-4 minutes per side.
5. Add cold butter and whole garlic cloves to pans basting with butter
6. Transfer pan to over and roast until thermometer registers 140 degrees for medium about 8-10 minutes.
